The definition of being tested: You spend all your free time sucking up the slowest wifi on the planet (because you're sharing it with 40 other geeks) to reiterate your day via a blog post and then accidentally delete it! Well crap! Here goes again...
It was a short walk today, so not much to tell... unless you're following the Croatian lady snoring and farting drama. Hahaha! Yeah, I almost ended up in a room with her again. It wasn't pretty... I prepared with several glasses of wine, to deal with it, then she changed rooms at the last minute. Phew!!! But what about the rest of the day?
O'Cebreiro is at the top of the mountain. We hiked up, up, up. It was beautiful, sweaty and exhausting. But on the plus side, only 20km today, since Marcelo convinced us to stop there.
Project Brigid is where local Spanish speakers spend time with non-English speakers to practice English and in turn teach crafts, art and local customs to the foreigners. This "tree" is where you hang your dreams. It will be ritualistically burned on 2/3/17! I was not sure that it was my dreams I wanted burned. But the tree seemed to spindly to support my socks, pants, shirt and boots! 😀

The gentleman, François, accompanied us along the way. There were walnuts and chestnuts falling all over the ground, which clearly indicated the need for a snack stop.
Call me crazy but as soon as I came across this green meadow today, I recognized it. Last year, post Camino, I dreamed I was back on Camino and at this meadow. At the time it had cows in it... it was very memorable, but I had not thought about it since. It rocked my world to come across it today! Life can be very strange. For the first time in weeks, I felt I was where I should have been, at the right time - even though the reason remains unclear.
The reason we stopped at O'Cebreiro was this guy: Marcelo. It was great to connect again and check on his moustache progress! Pierre had a few years growth on him!
