Hail Storm?! Yep.

One minute it was sunny and broken blue sky. The next minute the sky opened and torrential rain began. There was wind, standing water and then an almighty racket as the hail began.

Both cats hid under the furniture. I watched as the baby peaches took a beating and my car tried to weather the storm in the driveway.

Little Rusty - the first year

He goes by other names too; Ghostie, teenage boy, Mr Independence.

Rusty is quietly mischievous. He dominates his brother and is quick to raise a paw in order to steal food from the shared bowl. Between the hours of 7am and 7pm he doesnt want to be picked up or cuddled, but after 7pm, he reverts to "baby Rusty" and cried to be held and stroked. You'll find him snuggled on his blanket, soothing himself by sucking on it until it's... wet. Really wet.

He has a super-power...as we all do. Rusty's is sleeping. It's his first love, first priority and when he is missing, it's a sure bet that he's curled up unconscious. Hidden away from prying eyes, indulging in blissful dreams.

All that plus golden fur that he struggles to keep clean, blue-ish eyes that look right into yours and a tiny little kitten voice that tugs on your heartstrings. It's a winning package.

We love him to bits!
