Mixing it up

A litttle experiment some of my trip photos, using Picasa...

Who can resist a hike when the sky is blue and its almost 70 degrees outside? Not me.

After carefully researching a suitable trail, considering distance from home, degree of difficulty and time needed to complete it, we set off for Eldorado Canyon State Park.

Once there and having paid $6 to enter, we were informed by a helpful ranger that the trail didn't exist and never had. It was a dodgy website!
(Just for the record: www.go-colorado.com/boulder/hiking has it listed as the Crescent Meadows Trail, leaving from the Visitors Center)

None-the-less we managed to pull ourselves up a "real" trail for some fresh air, semi-decent exercise and this self portrait.

All Caught Up

2 weeks to the day, since I arrived back in Colorado...

And I am pleased to announce that all my vacation photos are uploaded to flickr.com and this blog has had the gaps filled in retrospectively. It didn't take a month after all!

If you live in or around Boulder, we will be holding several "slide show evenings" with commentary etc in the next few weeks. I promise there will be no more than about 200 photos by then, and they will be more organized!
