Teddy is ONE year old!

Ahhh... my baby is growing up!

Anyone who thinks a puppy can't race into your life and into your heart at the speed of light and change your world forever, has not had a golden retriever. The poster-children of dogs, this breed is known for it's photogenic face, begging eyes and the urge to be your best friend forever... through thick and thin, until their last breath. They are the dogs that toddlers can poke in the eye or kiss on the nose, ride like a pony or curl up and nap with. And for me, they are simply creatures that look right into your soul - accepting it as is without question - and in return let you see into theirs too.

We met Teddy when he was 8 weeks old. But that's not the full story. We 'virtually' met Teddy before he was born via x-ray, then started our relationship with his litter with email and Facebook photos and vid's. In early December 2021, we drove 9 hours to Idaho to meet him and his family and 2 days later, Teddy was our new addition!

I know you're thinking "we have heard this story" and that is true. This post serves to instead remind us all how far we have come... how much he has grown... how BIG a part of our family he really is. Plus, have you ever really watched the transition of a pup into a dog that first year? It's a miracle.

This is 54 pictures of the life of Teddy.  One per week and a couple pre-birth!
